Subjects Taught
5th Grade Math

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education at Delta State University, Cleveland, MS. In addition, I received my Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix.

I began my teaching career in Greenville, MS at Matty Akin Elementary (2003). At the time, the school was K-6 and I taught 2nd and 6th grade. I moved on to be a Media Specialist at Carrie Stern Enhancement School (Greenville, MS) and Dundee Elementary School (Dundee, MS) (2006-2013). During that time, I received my Masters Degree in Administration. I left Dundee Elementary and became the Federal Programs Director for Okolona Municipal Separate School District (Okolona, MS) (2013-2015). I am currently teaching fifth grade mathematics at Southaven Elementary School (Southaven, MS) (2015-current). I have served Mississippi students for 15 years, and I hope to continue making a difference for many years to come.

I am so excited to be teaching math again this year!! I am happy to have the opportunity to teach your child, and I know we are going to have the best year yet at Southaven Elementary!

Just a little about me:

I am a graduate of Delta State University (Bachelor's degree) and the University of Phoenix (Master's Degree). I have been teaching for 15 years (Where has the time gone?)! I have two wonderful daughters who attend Southaven schools. In my spare time, I love to watch movies and read books. I am a huge advocate for local humane shelters. I volunteer at Tunica Humane Society every Saturday.

Please feel free to contact me through the school or on Class Dojo if you have any questions. If you're not signed up for Class Dojo, let me know and I will help you.
